THE RAMP AT CLUB MED PUNTA CANA

Known as the world’s leading creator of innovative resort experiences, Club Med engaged Studio Red at Rockwell Group, which I led, to help create experiences that would appeal to, and connect with, teen guests.

I enlisted architects, designers and strategists in a week-long charrette to envision a place that would be relevant and fun for teens. We created a comprehensive solution that incorporated programmed activities, entertainment, guest interaction and custom gifts.

The Ramp at Club Med opened in spring 2005 at the Punta Cana village. The two-level hybrid lounge/clubhouse had a skateboard ramp as its roof, hence the name. The Ramp offered activities, entertainment, refreshments and opportunities for interaction. Built-in features include a hammock, star-gazing telescopes, foosball tables, guest mailboxes and all kinds of electronic entertainment.
